Race Results and More Photos!
Posted•8/26/2026, 12:16:07 PM
Good morning, racers!
If you haven’t checked yet, results from last night’s racing are now available!
Our Race Committee has been focused on getting results out as quickly as possible, and in most cases this season, results have been posted within 45 minutes of the race’s conclusion. We’re also told that by next racing season, GybeHub will have a phone app that can notify racers immediately when results are posted, which will help us take that effort one step further.
And, to our surprise, drone photographer Mike Florian was back out at the dock again last night! As always, he captured lots of amazing photos from the evening’s racing. You can check them out here:

Drone Photos / Marge's Bar Post-Race Gatherings
Posted•8/19/2026, 11:46:21 AM
Good morning, racers! Photographer Mike Florian loves capturing a good downwind start, and we’re grateful that he comes out on his own accord to take some of these amazing photos. If you raced last night, there’s a pretty good chance he got a great shot of you and your crew!
We also want to remind everyone that our own in-house photographer and videographer, Jenny, usually has some great footage of the starts to share afterward at Marge’s Bar on Mack Ave. Marge’s has always shown our sailing community tremendous hospitality, so we hope you’ll join the unofficial post-race gathering there after the races. Come by after the races, grab a drink, and spend a little time with the people you were just racing against on the water.
Mike's drone photos are available here:

See you next week!
Retiring from Races, Race Photos
Posted•8/12/2026, 12:11:17 PM
Greetings, racers! It was a slow, slow race yesterday. We thank everyone for coming out and offer our congratulations to the few who managed to finish! As a reminder, we ask boats to hail the race committee when retiring from the race. This makes things much easier for our scorers. Lastly, Mike Florian, the local drone photographer, was out again and captured some really nice photos. Take a look at the link below.

SI Amendment #1 Withdrawn
Posted•8/11/2026, 1:50:15 PM
Dear Racers,
Amendment #1 to the Sailing Instructions has been withdrawn. The Sailing Instructions therefore revert to their originally posted form.
As a result, the previously added Multihull Class in Start #5 has been removed and will no longer be part of the starting sequence.
Please refer to the current Sailing Instructions on the GybeHub event page for the official starting sequence and race information.
As a reminder, we invite all racers to the race party at Windmill Pointe Marina immediately after the race.

The only change is Section 4.2: Sequence, which has been amended to state JAM & MULTI-HULL for Start #5.
Also, we invite all racers to the race party at Windmill Pointe Marina immediately after the race.
See you tomorrow!

Reminder: Midwest PHRF Certificates
Posted•5/7/2026, 3:07:33 PM
Dear Competitors,
We are now less than two weeks away from our first race, and registrations are continuing to come in daily.
At this time, there are still several boats that do not yet have a current Midwest PHRF certificate on file in the MWPHRF database. If you have not already done so, please visit Midwest PHRF to obtain or renew your certificate as soon as possible.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing everyone on the water soon.
Thanks,
Race Committee

Dear skippers, the race committee is only overriding your submitted ratings based on your current MWPHRF certificate. As a reminder, we use DHCP for the PHRF and cruising classes, and DNSHCP for JAM. Per MWPHRF, ratings designated with the prefix "D" are recommended for distance or point-to-point races, regardless of length. https://www.mwphrf.org/index.php/information/understanding-your-handicap
